Look. If your in Lafayette for any reason what so ever you PLEASE PLEASE stop and visit this place. It is located in the industrial district, but please dont let this detour you. I have been here several times and EVERY SINGLE thing I have tried is AMAZING. I promise you you'll be pleased with whatever you choose. My favorite was the shrimp fried rice with chicken and shrimp or the shrimp salad
I was getting aggrivated as people after me were getting their food knowing they ordered after me.. but come to find out, these folks knew to call ahead... Now, holy smokes, this food was simple HEAVENLY. OMG, THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER, I had to pull over and completely devour my plate. The little sample as I was driving wasn't cutting it Definitely a must.
I ate Hot Food for the first time right out of college, and went years without it just because of not being near the location. I found it last night on DoorDash and had to try it again, still just as I remember it and the portions are so large that I still have leftovers. Thank you Hot Food for never disappointing me!
my first Louisiana meal and did not disappoint. we had the shrimp, crayfish and fried rice. so good...the flavor is on point. I have to come back. thanks to the friendly staff.

So I have heard a lot about this place. The selection of food was abit overwhelming. So I opted to play it safe an get the grilled shrimp with fried rice it did not disappoint. The food was fast, fresh, and delicious. Bathrooms were very clean so that means the kitchen is clean in my mind.
Delivered, eating there on the patio or getting it to go, amazing food. Missed out on some of the egg roll pictures sorry! The crack fire rice, Amazing. That’s after we ate it, again sorry for not all the pictures of the food. We try it 1st and think of pictures after. Hot food express!! A must try.
Finally checked it out and everything was delicious. We ordered the crack fried rice, the works, the fries fish platter, and onion rings. Everything was seasoned so we'll. Yes, it brings some kick, but to me, the perfect amount (and I do believe things can be too spicy...this wasn't). The bang bang sauce was really incredible. My daughter and I split the regular size crack fried rice with plenty to spare. The portions are generous, definitely order more if you're unsure so you can have leftovers. The fish fillets were much larger than we were expecting. They were helpful and patient while taking out order. It was busy, but we only waited around 15 minutes for our food. They showed me each order and ensured everything was right before I left the counter. Great experience, will definitely be back! (Forgive the pictures, I took them after we were full)
Everytime I go, I receive great customer service. We love the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Spicy Gulf omg is delicious. Had it with rice, but gonna try noodles next time.
Literally food for the soul ♥️ the flavor, the service, everything is exceptional. Definitely one of my favorite spots to chow.
